OCT 2 (SUN) – CHESTERFIELD GORGE - A quintessential beginner mountain bike ride on a dirt road that runs beside
the Westfield River. 16 miles. We’ll ride an out-and-back route along the Westfield river from Huntington to the
Chesterfield Gorge. Meet at 11:00 AM on the dirt road along the river. (Kimball Hill Rd. E.) After passing intersection
of Rt. 112 and Rt. 66, drive north about 1.2 miles and look for Blind Right Turn. Drive about 1.4 miles or until you see
other cyclists. Bring lunch and water and $1.00 to visit the Chesterfield Gorge Reservation.
Post ride activity takes place at Outlook Farm where they offer hot beverages, food on the grill, and apples.

OCT 9 (SUN) - MTN BIKING IN ROBINSON STATE PARK; We'll be riding the abundant single-track trails in the park,
which borders the Westfield River. Meet at Robinson Park Elementary School on Begley Street in Agawam at 10:00 AM.
Bring snacks, lunch & water.

OCT 16 (SUN) - A VERY GREEN MTN BIKE RIDE; 30 miles. We’ll ride mountain/cross bikes along the Green River from
Greenfield, MA to Green River, VT. Pace will be fairly relaxed. Tires with aggressive treads are not needed as
we are riding on 10 miles of paved roads and 20 miles of good dirt roads. Lunch is at the covered bridge in Green
River, VT. No stores along the way so bring lunch and liquids. Meet at 10:00 AM at the Greenfield Municipal
Swimming Pool Area parking lot (on the Green River) on Nash's Mill Rd., Greenfield, MA. This is a joint
Cyclonauts/Explorers ride.

Due to the heavy rain in the Greenfield area, many of the roads that the ride was scheduled to use were closed to
vehicular traffic. The police department was unable to give any information concerning road conditions.
This ride was cancelled.
OCT. 30 - DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS! FALL BACK OR ARRIVE WAY TOO EARLY.

OCT 30 (SUN) – SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE MTN BIKE RIDE - 16 to 18 miles. This ride will cover a variety of terrain (dirt
road, double track, single track & off-dirt) and include a stop at a monk's cave. Bring lunch and water. Meet in the
parking lot at Wendell State Forest at 11:00 AM. Turn your clocks BACK and arrive on time.
From the South take I-91 to exit 24. Follow Rt. 116 east to Rt 47 in Sunderland, turn Left and follow Rt. 47 to Rt.
63. Turn Left and go 4.1 miles on Rt. 63 and turn Right onto Highland St. just before the RR tracks. Take a Right
when you get to the T onto S. Prospect St. and a Right when you get to the Y onto Wendell Rd. Go UP for about a
mile to Wendell State Forest. Post ride activity takes place at Bart's in Amherst where they offer hot soups &
chili, sandwiches, ice cream, and if the weather is cold - HOT Fudge!

delightful ride on trails that will vary from logging roads to single-track. Please call him if you are interested
